I am so pleased to be able to post that I just heard from our agency director, and THE COURT BAN ON ADOPTION HEARINGS FOR ORPHANS ABANDONED IN ADDIS HAS BEEN LIFTED! It’s over! All those affected families can expect to get new court dates assigned within the next few weeks, and they should not be long dates at all.
I am so overjoyed. We had a lot of friends affected and my heart was breaking for them on a daily basis. I cannot wait to see my email in-box full of “we have a new court date” emails in the upcoming days!!!
*** I know that other agencies are reporting to their clients that the ban has NOT been lifted. I don’t want to get into a pissing match here. I’m not trying to step on anyone’s toes. I don’t want to upset people. All I am at liberty to say is this: My agency director had PERSONAL meetings with MOWA, US Consulate and High Court officials all last week. My agency director received a PERSONAL phone call this week that the ban has UNIVERSALLY been lifted. I cannot vouch for other information out there on the web. I can only vouch for my agency director, whom I know to be a forthright and ethical man. I am not going to post any more on this subject.

Thank you so much for confirming this! I am overjoyed!!!
Hooray! I am so excited for all involved.
Amen! That is awesome to hear!
Very good news!!
hooray! hooray! hooray!
This is great news! I know CHI had 4 or 5 referrals this week (none were abandoned in Addis Ababa); hopefully there will be more referrals this week!
This brings joy to my heart. And, just in time for your birthday. Two reasons to celebrate now.

I really hope this is the case however Radu isn’t the only one who had meetings with MOWA and high officials. I really wish this was the information that was coming out across the board. Its super upsetting for families that are affected with this.
